Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Placement Specialist is responsible for following through on all membership leads in assigned areas in order to convert potential girl and adult members to membership and appointment/placement. Meets lead conversion goals for assigned areas.

 

Essential Functions for this position include the following duties; other duties may be assigned as needed by the Girl Scouts of Western New York:

 

* Monitor all leads in Salesforce through the conversion process

* Be accountable for meeting lead conversion goal set by council for girl and adult members in assigned areas

* Follow up on leads to close and move through conversion by phone calls, emails, etc.

* Enter manual registrations as necessary

* Coordinate the placement of registered girls into appropriate troops or pathways

* Coordinate the placement of registered adults into appropriate positions, communicating with them through the process

* Serve as the opportunity owner for the opportunity catalog in assigned areas - work closely with the Community Engagement Specialists and other team members to ensure the development and availability of troop and member opportunities for recruitment

* Prepare and view reports and assess gaps in meeting key metrics including conversion rate, time to close lead, quality experience

* Monitor and assist with renewals, including Early Bird registration and renewals as needed

* Support council, regional and functional efforts

* Assist with customer care call volume as needed

* Conversion of girls and adults to members

* All other duties as assigned.

 

Experience and Skills:

Experience & Qualifications:

* Strong, pleasant phone/communication skills

* Task-oriented

* Experience with recruitment or closing sales

* Able to talk about Girl Scouts and convince potential members to join

* Follow-up and follow-through with potential members

* Strong computer user skills in Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook and applications such as Personify/ Salesforce

* Able to learn, understand, and apply tools in Salesforce

* Ability to work primarily from office on phone and email

* Familiarity with demographics and trends in coverage area

* Passion for GS Mission

* Commitment to GSWNY Operational Core Values

 

Hours & Travel:

* Hours of council operation including days and some evenings and Saturdays

* Some evenings/weekends as needed to support council recruitment and other events

* Less than 10% travel

 

Girl Scout Membership:

  • All Employees of Girl Scouts must maintain an active, annual membership in Girl Scouts of Western New York. This membership must be renewed annually, and all newly hired employees are expected to enroll with GSWNY within the first 30 days of their employment.
